How to clean a water cooler dispenser

Cleaning is adjunct of maintenance of good refreshing drinking cold water. While you can place your water cooler dispenser at office for your staff or customers, at home for your children or friends visiting your house or even at open spaces, water cooler dispenser is a great handy gadget which ensures the supply of pure, fresh and cold water everywhere. For keeping the supply of pure water for a long time it is imperative to keep the water dispenser clean. It’s true that you have to spent some time to clean you water dispenser but it is not a big deal if you really want to have a constant supply of  pure fresh water. Cleaning a water cooler dispenser involves few simple steps that have to follow to keep all polluted factors out of it.

Step 1: Unplug the water cooler dispenser, take off all parts one by one and keep them aside.

Step 2: Make a bleaching solution by adding bleach into the hot water. As far as the exact quantity of bleach is concerned you can use 1 tablespoon of bleach per one gallon of water. Now you can see how much water you need so add the bleach according to that quantity. Bleaching solution helps to kill all polluted organisms completely including bacteria, germs and mice as well.

Step 3: Take a sponge and dip it in the bleaching solution you prepared. Clean the inner surface of water cooler dispenser with this sponge. Now leave the dispenser with this bleaching solution for few minutes.

Step 4: Use tap water to remove the bleaching solution and to wash the inner surface of water dispenser thoroughly.

Step 5: Clean all other parts of dispenser including tank, cabinet and drip tray one by one with this solution and wash them under tap water.

Step 6: After washing all these parts let them air dry and use a piece of cloth to dry the inner surface of water dispenser.

Step 7: Put all parts of water dispenser together after they got completely dried and refill the bottle with fresh pure water. Do not use tap water to refill the bottle of water dispenser as tap water is mostly unhygienic and polluted. You can take water from water cooler which is much better option as compared to tap water.

Remember if you do not clean your water cooler dispenser regularly then this source of cold pure water supply can be converted into a source of polluted and poor quality water. So keep your water dispenser clean before it becomes a dwelling for bugs, germs and bacteria.
